Calendar Guidelines

The 5 primary public calendars should be maintained regularly. Collectively these should contain all events that occur on the Mercyhurst campus.
- Calendar administrators
- Campus Events – Sharon Sisco, X2263, ssisco@mercyhurst.edu
- All events other than courses
- Classrooms must be reserved by Sharon through Jan Hill
- Student Activities – Darcey Kemp, X2433, dkemp@mercyhurst.edu
- Student activities by college sponsored clubs and organizations
- Space for events outside of the Student Union must be cleared with that space’s owner
- Arts & Entertainment – Bruce Parkhurst, X3000, bparkhurst@mercyhurst.edu
- All events in the PAC, Taylor Little Theater, or Walker Recital Hall
- Kathy Burns will post all recitals in WRH
- Campus Ministry – Fr. Jim Piszker, X2429, jpiszker@mercyhurst.edu
- All chapel and campus ministry events
- Athletics – John Leisering, X2228, jleisering@mercyhurst.edu
- All sports events
- Posting
- All campus events will be posted by the appropriate calendar administrator. It is possible that the same event may be posted on multiple calendars. Events on a given calendar must be formatted consistently.
- Process
- The sponsoring individual or group contacts the calendar administrator who then reserves the space with the space owner. Student clubs and organizations procedures follow separate guidelines. The Student Union Office requires that student clubs and organizations complete and submit an Event Registration Form, which can be found in the Union Director's Office. No student club or organization should be permitted to reserve space without completion of this form.
- Changes or cancellations are posted by the calendar administrator immediately. Significant changes should then be communicated to the rest of the primary calendar administrators and to Police and Safety.
- Tech support
- The web administrator is the administrator of the WebEvent software and will deal with technical questions and issues. Any vendor questions or issues will be handled by the web administrator.
